LSE is a statewide non-profit organization that provides free legal services to Maine’s seniors. LSE has a fulltime Staff Attorney position open. Staff Attorneys handle a wide variety of civil litigation matters and conduct outreach in an assigned geographic area of the state. The open position can be based out of LSE’s Scarborough or Augusta office. The location will be determined in consultation with the successful candidate.
Candidates must be licensed to practice in Maine and have 0-5 years of related legal experience. Candidates must also have a strong interest in and/or experience doing civil litigation and a commitment to working with and helping the elderly. The position involves extensive local travel to client meetings, court appearances, and outreach events. The Staff Attorney will work as part of a team of Staff Attorneys and receive ongoing professional training and support.
