Helpline Attorney Position

Legal Services for the Elderly, Augusta, Maine

LSE is a nonprofit organization that provides free legal help to seniors across Maine.  The Helpline is located in Augusta and offers legal information and advice to seniors exclusively via telephone in a wide variety of substantive civil legal areas, including health care, housing and debt collection.  Two Helpline Attorneys work as a team and are supported by two paralegals who screen all first calls for help.  This is a fulltime position but applications for part-time employment will be considered.  LSE’s regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00. 

The successful candidate must have outstanding organizational skills and a proven ability to provide exceptional client service.   This is a very rewarding position that offers someone the chance to make a real difference in the lives of Maine seniors.
